The preseason Laxworm Top Ten was posted back in December and represented a review of the losses and gains of talent to each team, still it remains a strong predicition. Following the first week of play some changes are warrented based on the on field results. Darien remains on top as they extended their winning streak to 25 with convincing wins over in conference team Westhill and out of state Niskayuna, NY. New Canaan will remain at the 2 spot with a one sided win in their first game over last years "S" State Champion St. Joe's. New Canaan has talent and depth in all positions. The third spot will go to Ridgefield, they have not been tested they have proven that the Tigers still have the stuff to challenge for the FCIAC Championship. The number four team will given to the Jesuits of Fairfield Prep. Although they lost some of their horses from last year, their win over Wilton shows this years team can play with the big boys and win. Rounding out the top five Wilton played a great game against Prep and probably should have won the game. Coach Wiessman has the Warriors in a good place early in the season. Staples, Ludlowe, Newtown, St. Joe's and Greenwich round out the top ten.
2. New Canaan
4. Fairfield Prep
9. St. Joseph
Other teams to watch are North Haven, Simsbury, Joel Barlow, Guilford, Hand, Xavier.
