Shelton took a short bus ride to it's neighbor in Monroe, Masuk High School. The 3-0 gaels came to take on the panthers 1-2, who's last meet came down to the final relay against Seymour. There was an anticipated match up between Masuk's best swimmer Canu Caplash and Shelton's Reid Chavez, not to disappoint they were head to head in the 200 IM and 100 Fly. Chavez came out ahead in both events with the most exciting race being the 100 Fly where Chavez posted a 53.89 out touched Caplash (54.54). The Panthers came out strong for the first five events taking a 18 point lead but after a strong swim by Masuk's freshman freestyler William Briand in the 100 Free (52.08). Shelton then won the next five events and had a strong showing by their two and three swimmers setting up for the final relay. Shelton had to take 1st and 3rd to win the meet, Masuk having to split their number one relay could not stop Shelton.
