Staples 101 - Wilton 77
Under the bubble in Wilton, the Wreckers of Staples used their talented frontline swimmers and their depth to defeat the Warriors 101-77. It might have been freezing outside but inside Staples heated the pool with some impressive swims, Nico Ortega won the 200 and 500 freestyles in 1:46.09 and 4:52.15 respectively. Staples McNab walked away with a win in the 200 IM posting a 2:03.56. Wilton posted wins in the 50 Free when McCool out swam the competition with a time of 23.39, Wilton captured the last two events of the meet. Wilton swimmerGordon Skeward posted two good times in the 200 free and 500 free with a 1:47.59 and 4:53.24 both sit in the top ten times in the state so far this season. Staples was impressive and should make some noise come championship time.
